q Is eHostAsia safer than using free email like Gmail or Yahoo?

  • Yes, because eHostAsia provides a private, ad-free environment where you are the customer, not the product. Free email services often scan message content to target advertisements. eHostAsia ensures data sovereignty and privacy, meaning your internal business communications are encrypted and never analyzed for marketing purposes.

q Will I lose my old emails if I switch to eHostAsia?

  • No, eHostAsia offers seamless migration services to ensure zero data loss. We utilize IMAP sync technology to transfer all your existing folders, contacts, and calendars from your previous provider (whether it is Google Workspace, Office 365, or cPanel) to our secure servers before the final switch-over, ensuring your business operations never skip a beat.

q Can I use Outlook, Apple Mail, or my phone to access my email?

  • Yes, eHostAsia fully supports standard email protocols including IMAP, POP3, and SMTP. This means you can access your secure business email on any device or client—including Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and iPhone/Android apps—while keeping everything synchronized in real-time across all your devices.

q What happens if the email server goes down?

  • eHostAsia implements monitoring, redundancy, and coordination with our infrastructure partners to minimize service disruption whenever possible. If an incident occurs, our team works with upstream datacenter and platform providers to restore service as quickly as conditions allow.

    Because email delivery depends on multiple external systems — including internet networks, third-party mail servers, and security filtering — temporary interruptions may still occur. During an outage, some messages may be delayed, rejected, or queued by the sender’s mail system until service becomes available again.

    In the event of a major infrastructure failure or third-party platform issue, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore service or assist with migration or data retrieval when technically feasible. However, specific restoration timelines and complete data recovery cannot be guaranteed.

    For this reason, we recommend maintaining independent backups of important communications. Our service operates on a best-effort basis as described in our Terms of Service.

q Can I avail of your managed DNS and email services even if my domain was registered elsewhere?

  • Absolutely. This is the usual setup of our clients. You just need to change and point your domain nameservers to ours.

q Can I use your email service even if my website is hosted elsewhere?

  • Absolutely. You can have your website hosted by another provider and still use our email service.

q What's the minimum contract for your email services?

  • Our email hosting operates on a prepaid monthly subscription. Each payment covers one (1) month of service, and there is no long-term lock-in or annual commitment. You may simply choose not to renew at the end of any billing period.

    Because the service is prepaid, renewal must be completed before the end of your current subscription month.

    If a subscription is not renewed:

    1st day of the following month: all email accounts are automatically suspended and users will not be able to send or receive messages.

    3rd day of the month: accounts that remain unpaid are automatically removed from the system and stored emails may no longer be recoverable.

    We recommend settling renewals in advance and keeping independent backups of important communications to avoid interruption or data loss.

    We continuously monitor and maintain the platform to provide a secure and reliable service. However, as with all internet-based services, availability depends on external networks and providers, and uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed.
